18 Months to 3 Years
The Montessori School Toddler program represents the youngest age level in our nurturing Montessori educational community. Children are engaged in their classroom by real life activities, using child-sized materials (such as plates, glasses, silverware, etc) that foster their emerging independence. The Toddler environment is designed to honor a young child’s natural need for movement, “sensory experience”, and meaningful work. This period in a child's life is foundational when taking into consideration the development of personality, social skills, and human values. TMS offers both half-day and full-day options for this age group.
