After School Activities & Clubs

At The Montessori School, our after-school clubs and activities offer students a rich variety of opportunities to explore their interests, build skills, and make a difference. 

  • Tennis Club - enjoy learning basic through advance skills with our tennis instructor
  • Wize Club - build creativity through coding, robotics, and hands-on tech projects
  • Art Club - explore self-expression and creativity via various mediums and techniques
  • Shining Knights - develop strategic thinking and problem-solving through chess
  • Balance Bike - develop skills on a bike while playing games and having fun

Each club nurtures curiosity, teamwork, and a passion for lifelong learning.

We have fall, winter and spring sessions for all clubs.  Students may sign up for one session or all three.

Wize Academy

This after-school club offers an exciting introduction to engineering, robotics, and coding basics, designed to spark curiosity and build foundational skills. Students will:

  • Explore engineering fundamentals through engaging, hands-on projects.
  • Enhance problem-solving and teamwork abilities by designing and building innovative creations.
  • Construct and program robots to tackle thrilling challenges.
  • Develop computational thinking and logical reasoning skills essential for success in a digital world.

Art Club

Unleash your creativity with exciting projects like building outdoor sculptures, designing unique treat bags, crafting intricate drawings with hidden surprises, and mastering shading and toning through dynamic urban cityscapes. 

These hands-on activities are designed to boost artistic skills and inspire imagination, giving students the chance to bring bustling city scenes to life in ways they've never imagined!

Shining Knights

Students can dive into strategic thinking and problem-solving with our Shining Knights program, where budding players develop their game under the guidance of experienced mentors. 

Shining Knights will lead engaging chess lessons, team-based activities, and more! New to chess? No problem—They will teach you the basics and have you playing confidently in no time.

Grade Level: K-6th
Time: Thursdays 3:15-4:15

Tennis

Our coach will place your child in either future stars or the advanced tennis club.  Movement from one club to the other can also happen while the clubs are running. 

Future stars will kick-start your child's tennis journey with fun tennis activities.  It is designed to introduce players to serving, rallying, and scoring while having fun and improving skills. Advanced Tennis will offer support to those students with a background in tennis.  This session will continue to develop skills and introduce them to competition.  It provides a great balance between learning and competitive play.

Tennis

Our Balance Bike Club allows children to enjoy facilitated games, challenges, and free exploration to build skills on a balance bike through play. Please send the child to school with a helmet.  Balance bikes are available to use or you may send one in for the child to use.
